Le samedi 5 décembre, c'est notre dernier safari de l'année. On va en profiter pour faire un souper de Noël !

Le safari sera à 13h, on se rencontre au Café Tarantino (au milieu de l'aire de restauration de la Place Ville-Marie). Au menu : la religion à Montréal, clochers, églises, orgues, vitraux, croix... On a quelques joyaux d'architecture grandiose à Montréal, nous nous promènerons dans un style "chasse au trésor" à la poursuite de ces témoignages de grandeur.

Le souper est à 18h30 au restaurant Guido et Angelina, 690 Ste Catherine Ouest (en face du Centre Eaton).

This year, the Solstice sunrise is on the morning of Monday the 21st December. Sunrise itself is around 08.09 a.m. (exact times will be posted nearer to the event). open the site to the public from 07.30 a.m. for a couple of hours.

Always concious that sometimes people that haven't been before can get a bit nervous before hand - if so, nothing to worry about - let someone know, me if you like, and we'll try to make sure you're looked after.

Format tends to be a social meet in Font bar first of all then split up into smaller groups to wander round taking photos and then meet up somewhere else later on or not if you prefer.

We'll plan on at least an hour or so and can warm up inside somewhere in the Old Market afterwards.

This will be a good opportunity to practice camera settings and get some pointers from others. Bring your tripod if you have one. If not, there's always a bench or railing to use somewhere!

From novice to pro - shooter of film, d-slr, or point and shoot - are all welcome. Bundle up and come play in the cold!

The ride usually goes along the beach from the west wall of Brighton Marina to the King Alfred Centre and beyond (or vice versa), or as far as you and your bike can make it.

Time and tide wait for no-one, so if you can't make it to the start, join the ride en route. The ride sets off 30 minutes after meeting, so as to catch the lowest tide and the sunrise. If starting from the Marina, the ride will probably pass under Brighton Pier another 30 minutes after that, if you'd like to meet there.

Following August 2007's Low Tide Naked Critical Mash-Up bike ride, the event is clothing-optional, and riders often go for a skinny-dip in the sea at the end of the ride.

For evening rides, participants can adjourn for drinks afterwards at The Neptune pub.

Bring bikes, waterproofs, warm clothes, towels and lights. Remember to thoroughly wash the salt and sand off your bike afterwards. If you're worried about using your own bike, pick a scrap one up from a skip.
